26 Dec 2009 - Last winter at Wakasagi Fishing (see here), we endured hours of freezing cold but all we could get was ONE pathetic 7cm fish. Determined to seek revenge, we consulted fishing expert, Minami, and we went to Yamanaka-ko (山中湖), for pre-season practice.
Our fishing boat
Our hardware engineer, Nakanishi, connecting up Minami's sonar fishfinder.
All ready and set to go! Posing in front of Mt. Fuji
The on-board-motor that I drove. It has been 7 years since I last maneuver one.
Brings me back those happy memories of army days...
The foot-controlled propeller that Minami brought.
My fishing rod poking Mt.Fuji
Fishing pals
Cheese! (Minami and Sakaguchi)
Caught! Reel in!
Nakanishi with his 3-hit combo
Our fishing teacher, Minami, with his 4-hit combo
We were unstoppable!!

The lake was quite empty that day. Other than us, there was only a group father-and-sons.
It was getting dark (see the moon?). Time to go back
Winds were strong and waves were rough in the evening
Packing up
Well done, pals!
Byebye...BUT We'll be back
Result from a day of hard work...91 fishes!!!
We deep fried them. Yummy!!!
