花痴系列:桜@三渓園

三渓園-HDR-26
A HDR of the garden.

3 Apr 2010 - Traveled 2 hours to 三渓園 at Yokohama for the 2nd part of my Sakura series. I worked till quite late on Friday and slept till noon on Saturday. I reached there at around 2pm and the lens I used was EF28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM.

Afternoon light was real bad, colors turned out plain

The main landmark of the garden

I didn't know that this place has lightup at night, so I didn't bring my tripod.

At around 4:50pm, there were so many photographers setting up their stands and waiting. Curious about what they are waiting for, I waited along...

At 5pm, I like the lights...but I forgot to remove my circular polarizer! so slightly underexposed
This is the image I used to make the HDR at the top of this post.

Evening sky.
After waiting for more than an hour, at 6.11pm, it was so dark that I had to set ISO to 1600.

Finally at 6:40pm, the lights were up. nice...but not really worth the 2 hours wait, at least not without a tripod.
