Macro Hunting

19 Sep 2009- Long holiday again!! But I am not travelling this time; saving money.

I woke up this morning, wondering what should I do for the day. In the end, I decided to go to the flower field near my dorm for some pure macro photography.

My Gear: Canon Kiss X2 (or 450D), EF28-135mm F3.5-5.6 IS USM with Raynox DCR-250 and DMW-LC55 close-up lens

There were many types of flowers at the field, but most of them were withering 'cos autumn is coming.

I spent quite some time chasing this dragonfly. It flew away whenever it saw me closing in.

Yokota Air Base US-Japan Friendship Festival

Yokota Air Base-28

23 Aug 2009- Went to Yokota Air Base Open House (they call it the US-Japan Friendship Festival) with Steven and Joni. First reaction when I alighted at Ushihama Station was...WOW!! I was shocked by the number of visitors. I did not even have to check my map for directions; the crowd brought me there. I did not remember having so many people at RSAF's open house. Later I read on the air base's website that more than 170,000 attended the 2-day event!!

Well...it's crowded at every event in Tokyo. Plus, they showcased the F22 Raptor!! The best all- rounded fighter plane in the world.

Since I already brought a ladder, I shall use it; even though no one is blocking in front of me.

(Yes I did some very extreme post processing and had overdone some of it. Shall redo them when I have time.)
