I did not go travelling during this long holiday. One reason is to save money, another reason is that I have a book to make. But why the rush? The previous book I made was so badly printed that I launched a complain, so Blurb, with its superb service, gave me a free US$210 voucher! The voucher only lasted for 3 months and it ends on 5 Jan 2010. Hence I have to produce a book by then in order to not waste the voucher.
With my new DSLR and lenses, I have taken lotsa photos in 2009; thousands of them! Knowing that looking through all these photos would take a lifetime, I just simply compiled all the posts in this photoblog into a 160 pages photobook. But still... arranging the photos and designing the backgrounds took me hours. Furthermore, since this is a photobook, I wrote down also the camera settings for the photos. Checking up the EXIF data for hundreds of photos would take months! so I decided to write a script to grab the EXIF data for each photo from flickr.com.
All in all, it took me full 6 working days to produce this book! And I am quite satisfied with my work.
