Animal: Ellie
12 Jun 2010: Went with Nick to Baofeng's place to visit her Hyperactive dog, Ellie. (American Cocker Spaniel)
Ellie in Action
Nice jump!
Another scene from the movie Karate Dog (or ベスト・ドッグ in 日本語)
Close ups
Ain't I handsome?
Enjoying Nick's Body Massage
Refusing to let go
In thoughts
Dumbo!
Nick & Ellie
!Jump over!
We were trying to shoot Ellie jumping across Nick's leg. But my entry-level DSLR just could not make it - continuous shutter(at 3fps) was not fast enough to capture the MOMENT. We gave up after about 10 tries...
Nick's legs are telling us that he is tired...

Travel: Sentosa, Singapore
9 Jun 2010 - I was free that day without any appointment, and so I decided to visit Sentosa, its new integrated resort and Universal Studio Singapore.
It's been years since I last visited the island.
I took the Sentosa Express (for the 1st time) and alighted at the Beach Station.
NO SWIM ZONE
I walked along the beautiful beach and snapped some shots of people, but I made a rule to myself that I will not post pictures of strangers on the net unless I get their permission.
Relaxation
Back-view doesn't go against my rule
It started to rain. I went into one of the huts along the beach for shelter.
Rain Drops
Manual focus and high shutter speed (1/1250s) to capture the rain drops, with the coconut trees as background
Ships in Rough Sea
It was raining very heavily but the barely visible ships look interesting.
Macro of rain drops on leaf
Taken with EF28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM attached with Raynox DCR-250 macro lens.
Macro of rain drops on Orchid
Taken with EF28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM attached with Raynox DCR-250 macro lens.
Tropical rainfall - heavy but short.
The rain lasted for only around an hour and I was back on my trip!
Name of the beach. Siloso Beach
Man-made waterfall at the foot of Merlion
Merlion was surrounded with construction sites, hence I could not get a good shot of it.
Merlion Walk
On my way to Tiger Sky Tower...
Here's Tiger Sky Tower.
I brightened the shadows and rotated the picture 180deg to emphasize the "Tiger"
There was a long queue, so I didn't go up. It was running late, and I rushed to the destination that I most wanted to go, the new integrated resort, Resorts World Sentosa.
Tiger Sky Tower taken from Resorts World Sentosa
Interior, filled with expensive shops and you can see how empty it is.
Lightings at...the basement carpark!!
It was World Cup season
Misc shot
Reflection of the water fountain
Sky was becoming dark but the fountain was becoming alive.
I love the colors of the fountain
Hotel Rooms
Time to go
Thanks for reading.
Here's a map of locations where the photos were taken...
